Zara's Story

I grew up in Weston-super-Mare where my creative mum inspired me to try a variety of crafts, this passion for the arts continued through my education choosing to study a foundation diploma in art and design at Weston college, moving on to a BA (HONS) in textile design at Winchester school of Art. After graduating with a 2.1 in 2006 I worked as a technical instructor in printed textiles at Loughborough university.

During my time at Loughborough university I achieved an ‘Associate Fellowship’ in teaching at higher education. Having spent 10 years working at the university I made the decision to follow my dream and create a screen print studio. I relocated to my home town Weston-super-Mare and set up the studio to design and print my own unique gift range and to run creative workshops to fulfil my passion for teaching others this wonderful craft.

The studio is based on the first floor of Worle florists, Weston-super-Mare.

A selection of my gift range is available at Worle florists, Fosse beads and friends in Frome and Noahs Ark gift shop, Bristol.

I'm a regular trader at the Sunday Clevedon market on the first Sunday of the month and attends other markets in the local area. I run small screen printing workshops on location at a selection of EAT festivals in Somerset.

Zara teaches screen printing to groups of adults or children, individuals can book planned dates online. Zara caters for one to one tuition, private bookings; birthday (adult or child), hen, family parties or groups.

Workshops can be bought to you I also do talks and demos to groups in the Somerset area. Contact me for more information
