This is a fascinating natural dye technique, indigo dye comes from the plant indigofera tinctoria and the dye is extracted from the plants leaves. During this session you will learn how the indigo vat dye bath was created using synthetic indigo. Week 1: Zara will show you examples of shibori dyed fabrics and explain the different types of resist techniques. You will be given fabric samples to create a mokume stitch design.
